Many years ago, the idea arose to emboss the tried-and-tested Löwe anvil shears from Gebr. Schröder GmbH in Kiel with an embossed handle to make them even more ergonomic and non-slip. The 90th anniversary of the anvil shears finally came to fruition: The manufacturer, which looks back on more than 150 years of company history, took this as an opportunity to emboss its legendary classic with an embossed vine pattern.
The result: The handles fit perfectly in the hand and allow effortless work without slipping. The principle of anvil shears! Although these shears now look particularly attractive, their cutting performance has never diminished.
Its principle was developed in 1923 by Gebr. Die Schröder GmbH and is based not only on the combination of blade and anvil, but above all on the perfect choice of materials. The blade is hard and stays sharp, while the anvil is a softer alloy of aluminum and zinc, allowing for flexibility during cutting.
This combination makes the anvil shears particularly well-suited for cutting harder, woody branches and twigs, which they cut more effectively than softer or wetter materials. Due to their higher power transmission and technical superiority when applying greater force, they are the ideal choice for tree pruning. For branches up to 2.5 cm in diameter.

To ensure longevity, metal or wooden reefs should be dried thoroughly after each use. Storage is ideally in dry, unheated rooms such as barns or garden sheds.
