Krumpholz Tool Manufacturing 1799 – Hand-forged tools with history and character

Krumpholz Tools – Hand-forged since 1799

Tradition meets craftsmanship: High-quality blacksmith tools from the heart of Germany

For over two centuries, the name Krumpholz has stood for hand-forged tools of exceptional quality. Just as it did 200 years ago, the Upper Franconian blacksmith shop still crafts gardening, forestry, and construction tools with extensive experience, dedication, and masterly skill. Each individual piece is proof that true craftsmanship never goes out of style.

Tools that last for generations – quality from the Krumpholz forge

Krumpholz specializes in the manufacture of tools for horticulture, forestry, construction, and agriculture. Whether spades, hoes, hoeing shovels, or planting trowels, all products are hand-forged from high-quality Swedish steel and designed for durability and functionality.

What's special about Krumpholz: No off-the-shelf tools are manufactured. The tools are created using a complex forging process – applying centuries-old expertise and modern standards. The result is tools that are extremely durable, perfectly balanced, and tailored to their specific purpose. It's no wonder that Krumpholz is considered an insider tip for ambitious hobby gardeners and professionals throughout Europe – and beyond.

Krumpholz Blacksmiths

Since 1799 – A story that began in the forge

The Krumpholz story begins in 1799 in the small Franconian village of Grafengehaig. Then as now, the Krumpholz family name stands for excellent blacksmith craftsmanship. The family is now in its eighth generation, running the company with deep respect for tradition while also keeping an eye on modern requirements.

What began as a small hammer forge is now a renowned manufacturer of the highest quality hand tools, consistently manufactured in Germany – regionally, sustainably, and with great pride in craftsmanship. The water from the nearby Rodach River is still used to power the blacksmith's hammers – a beautiful symbol of the company's connection to its homeland and nature.

Why we love Krumpholz – and why you will too

We at Witzenthaler-Hof are always looking for manufacturers who represent true values: quality, sustainability, regionality, and genuine craftsmanship. Krumpholz combines all of these in an impressive way. Their tools are not only functional but also beautifully crafted—you immediately sense that they've been crafted with heart and soul.

Because we enjoy working with good tools ourselves, it was clear to us: Krumpholz belongs in our product range. And we're convinced that you, too, will feel the difference – with every use, with every movement, with every dig in the garden, or every blow with the axe. These are tools for life – in the truest sense of the word.
